WRC2018 | Day 2 Review
We review Day 2 of the World Retail Congress in Madrid, where an attentive audience heard international retail speakers explore ‘The big picture and the small details’. Here are some highlights.
The Retail Exchange reports from Day Two of the 2018 World Retail Congress in Madrid. Bringing together speakers from brands including Grupo Cortefiel, IKEA, Harvey Nichols and El Palacio del Hierro, the second day threw up some interesting questions. What are the secrets to leadership success? How can retail achieve economic as well as environmental sustainability? Is it time retailers went back to its emotional roots? If the atmosphere during the second day was anything to go by, then retailers are eager to embrace the challenges ahead. As the second day came to an end, we caught up with speakers and those attending to get their thoughts on the key take-outs and themes dominating the event.
